THE STAR TREK EPISODE GUIDE

Here's the list of some of the most important and fun episodes.

Classic Star Trek

 1. Where No Man Has Gone Before...The second pilot.
See the show before it became a show. Check out Spock's
     eyebrows.

 2. The Corbomite Maneuver...The first produced
episode. The earliest example that aliens do not
have to be big scary monsters; a theme Star Trek

promoted. "This is Tranya."

 3. The Naked Time...this is the episode that really
explored the inner needs of the characters.
     "Yesss! IIII've FOUND Mr.Spock!!!
     ..I'mtalkingtoMr.Spock,YOUUNDERSTAND?!?"

 4. The Enemy Within...Good exploration about the parts
of a man that gives him the strength of command. First use
of the Vulcan Neck Pinch. "I WANNA LIVE!!!!"

 5. Balance of Terror...Submarine warfare in space. Try to
figure out why they have to be quiet in a Starship when
     sound doesn't travel across space.

 6. Dagger of the Mind...The first use of the Vulcan mind
meld. One of the most attractive of Kirk's potential love
     interests. "I love my work."

 7. Space Seed...The must see episode, if you want to
watch the movies, that is. "I find myself growing
     fah-tigued, Captain."

8.Errand of Mercy...The first appearance of those pesky
static-Klingons. See the great performance of the man who
     would someday be Baltar.

 9. The Doomsday Machine...Remember Will Decker
from The Motion Picture, when Kirk took away his
starship in his lust to regain command??? Wanna see
what happens to his daddy? Well, then, this is the one to
see, kids! This will show you why the original series
special effects were so well renowned.

 10. City on the Edge of Forever...Sir Derf's personal
favorite. See the best example of dramatic conflict in the
     series. Uhura say's, "I'm frightened."

 11. Journey to Babal...See Spock's mom! See Spock's
dad, especially if you want to understand who the heck
this guy is in Star Trek III! See Kirk's flying jump kick
(that wall won't bother anybody anymore)! See McCoy
     get the last word!

 12. Amok Time...See Spock in heat! Great speech about
the value of friendship over career. "I see no logic in
     preferring Stonn over me."

 13. Mirror, Mirror...ok, not a must see, just a heck of a lot
of fun. Kirk romances one of the classic Trek Babes.
Chekov screams. See Spock in a beard. Nice outfit on
     Uhura.

 14. Metamorphosis...Zefram Cochrane? Man it's amazing
what a few years will do to a guy; he doesn't even sound
the same. Kirk, Spock, and McCoy meet a living legend. It's
a love story that's a real gas. "The man must continue."

 15. The Trouble With Tribbles...frequently voted the
most popular classic Trek episode. See the evil Klingons
in a more entertaining episode. See Scotty defend the
honor of Kirk? "I transported the whole kit and caboodle
into their engine room, where they'll be no tribble at all."

 16. Spock's Brain...See the lowest of the low! "His mind
is gone!!!" "Brain and brain! What is brain?"

Star Trek: The Next Generation

 1. Encounter at Farpoint...see the beginning. See Q!!!
See the holodeck explained. See Picard with a pickle up
his...well, you get the idea. See how much the series has
     improved from its Farpoint beginnings.

 2. The Naked Now…See an early example of the Next
Generation's greatness and originality. The Enterprise
gets a disease that's passed through sweat and it acts
like alcohol on the crew. The Doctor wants the captain,
Geordi wants to see, Data gets Jiggy with it, and Wesley
locks himself in engineering and sings "Take Me Home
Again Cathleen" throughout the starship. Wow! I've never
seen a plot like this one before!!!! "You Jewel, that's exactly
     what I'm looking for."

 3. Where No One Has Gone Before…We liked the
name so much we had to use it twice! Trying out some
new intermix formulas for the engines, the Enterprise
ends up WAY out of town; so far out that their thoughts
can become reality. Play the accent game! See Picard's
mom and from her accent try to figure out if he's English,
French, or Jewish. Wesley get's killed. Well, not really,
but that would really make this episode worth watching,
wouldn't it? "Put the fire out in your mind!"

 4. Heart of Glory...a nice little standout episode for Worf.
See renegade Klingons try to capture the good old days.
Learn what it means to be Klingon. "What of Duty? What
     of Honor?"

 5. The Measure of a Man...Data in a fight for his identity.
Just what makes up a conscious living entity?? "Star Fleet
was founded to seek out new life, well there it sits!"

 6. Q Who?...the first appearance of the Borg. See Whoopi
Goldberg as an almost likable person. Oh, and Q's back.
"And Microbrain! Growl so I know that you love me."

 7. Yesterday's Enterprise...The Enterprise C is under
attack and warps into the future by accident; missing the
pivotal point that seals the peace between the Federation
and the Klingons. Now everything is falling apart. They
must go back. "I'm supposed to be dead."

 8. Sins of the Father...Worf must return to Quonos and
defend the honor of his family. Picard is his Chadeech
(I can't spell these Klingon phrases). Worf argues. Picard
     fights. A fun Klingon adventure.

 9. Sarek... Wanna see Spock's dad lose his mind. Wanna
see Picard act in a groovy mind meld scene? Well, this is
     it folks!

 10. The Best of Both Worlds Part 1...Let's just watch
Part 1 and wait three months like we had to when the
episode first premiered. See Picard mope until Whoopi
Goldberg gives him a peptalk. Sorry, no Q in this episode.

 11. The Best of Both Worlds Part 2...Well, ya wanna
see what happens don't ya. See more Borg. See sexy
Picard in a near state of undress. See Riker mope until
Whoopi Goldberg gives him a peptalk. Thought I saw Q
but I think it was the warp core.

 12. Family...one of the best episodes of Next Generation as
Picard tries to recover from the psychological damage of
his capture by the Borg. "I tried so hard!"

 13. Reunion...See Worf meet up with his old girlfriend.
Boy, does she have a surprise for him. See the
appearance of Gowron and those cool evil eyes. Just try
     to keep Worf in check.

 14. Redemption 1 and 2...Klingon civil war. Picard can't
get involved. Data acts on a hunch and saves the day.

 15. Unification 1 and 2...the demise of Sarek and find out
what Spock has been doing all these years. Try to
discover why Romulans as well as every member of every
alien race all have funny foreheads, except the Vulcans.
     Ah, Cowboy diplomacy.

 16. The First Duty...Wesley's in trouble. Nyah-nyah,
     nyah-nyah, nyaaaahhh-nyah. After surviving a near
collision in an Acadamy flight show, there's a small
hearing. Everything will be ok as long as we can keep
those stories straight. See Robert Duncan McNeill play a
loser on The Next Generation before he plays one on
     Voyager.

 17. The Perfect Mate...Picard falls for a bride destined for
another in this replay variation of the original series Elaan
of Troyus. And who wouldn't, when the bride to be is the
gorgeous Famke Jansen. Watch her hit on every guy on
the Enterprise. See one of the very rare times when Worf
smiles. "Grrrrrrrrrrrr. Grrrrrrrrrrrr." "Bridge, I'll be on
     holodeck 4."

 18. I, Borg...A Borg is a Borg is a Borg, except when he's
not a Borg. Hugh comes aboard the Enterprise and soon
he's discovered himself and singing, "I just gotta be
meeeeeee....." What's a Picard gonna do? Destroy the
Borg and save millions or....Hmmmmm...how's that go?
     "The needs of the many....."?

 19. Relics...Wanna know what happened to Scotty? Well
he crash-landed into a Dyson sphere and having eaten
everything on board (we never knew for sure what
happened to his shipmate), he decides the only way to
survive is to exist in a transporter. All those years later,
the crew of the Enterprise D find him and discover that
old people can't shut up in any century. "The Enterprise?
Why I bet Jim Kirk himself drug her out!"

 20. Chain of Command 1 & 2...Picard is captured by
the Cardassians and they don't like him. See another
sexy shirtless Picard episode. Have some Egg Drop Soup.
MMMMMMMMM! Riker don't like the new captain who says,
"Go to your room!" "There are four lights!!"

 21. Tapestry...Picard's It's a Wonderful Life and my
personal favorite Next Gen episode. Q's back and he's
God (so he says). I just wish I could relive some of the
moments of my life. "Is there a John Luck Pickerd
     here?"

 22. The Chase...Picard learns of a secret message being
left in the building blocks of life that has been seeded
across the cosmos. Soon we learn why all the aliens have
2 arms, 2 legs, funny foreheads, and all speak English.
"That's it?? If she were real, I'd shoot her, myself."

 23. All Good Things...See the bookend of the series. See
Q again. See 3 Enterprises. See Worf romance Troi???
